The Chemistry Department of FMIPAK, Universitas Negeri Manado, continues to strengthen its academic collaboration and curriculum development initiatives through a working meeting held on 27 Juli 2026 with Cepi Kurniawan, Ph.D from Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES). During the visit, Dr. Cepi engaged in an in‑depth discussion with the department leadership regarding curriculum enhancement and academic alignment across chemistry study programs.
The meeting focused on curriculum development across all study programs within the Chemistry Department, namely the Bachelor of Chemistry Education, Bachelor of Chemistry, Master of Chemistry, and Doctoral Program in Chemistry. Discussions included alignment with Outcome‑Based Education (OBE), integration of research activities, and opportunities for collaborative academic initiatives with UNNES.
Specifically, the Doctoral Program in Chemistry reaffirmed its implementation of a Research‑Based Education (RBE) curriculum, ensuring that research remains the core of doctoral learning—from topic formulation, supervision, seminars, and research milestones to international publication requirements.
Through this momentum, the Chemistry Department UNIMA is increasingly optimistic about enhancing its academic reputation while contributing to the advancement of chemical sciences for society, the environment, and the education sector.
